So… Today, suddenly me and Ryu have a bit crazy idea of having a walk after having a breakfast at Mc Donalds near our house.. We haven’t slept that much, and still very sleepy.. But somehow we ended up deciding to have a walk to Kamo River.. It’s been a while since the last time I walk there.. So it’s quite refreshing as a change of pace. 🙂
We have some chats about last night’s session (well, we’re playing Pen n Paper RPG online almost every night now due to holiday), while enjoying the fresh air. It’s not yet spring base on the calendar, but the weather is already nice. 😀
And it seems it’s not just us who are having fun with the weather. But it seems the birds and the ducks on Kamo River. 😀 They seem like having fun there 🙂
They didn’t even care I sit near them XD
And maybe due to the warm weather, some ducks are actually sleeping. :p Or is it because it’s still too cold to swim?
And so we continue to walk and I just take snapshots here and there.. We also jumped on the crossing stones on Kamo River. If you saw an anime or Japanese drama using Kyoto as the setting, this location will definitely comes on screen 😀 Especially the crossing stone. 😀
We continue our walk and I continue taking snapshots here and there. 😀
Oh! I found this two ducks are trying to find something to eat between the dirt. 😀 It’s fun to see their beak to poke the ground and look happy every time they found something. Hehehehe 😀 They look like “Accomplishment! Yeah!”
And on one of the passage under one of the bridge, we found this… It seems it shows how it used to look like in Kamo River back in Edo Period. 😀 It’s always fun to see the history of some places and how they look like on the past. Me and Ryu even talked about it. We discussed it would be fun if we can go back time and see with our own eyes how things would look like in the past. 🙂
Oh.. We found this cool looking raven, walk on the water.. With no practical reason. It just walks and stands then walks again. 😀
And when we arrived near the Sanjo Bridge (the one connecting Kawaramachi Street and Sanjo Keihan Station), we found two sakura trees blooming and even already full bloomed. The leaves even already start, so this sakura tree already bloom for quite some time. But the interesting and weird thing is… It’s just these two trees. The other trees haven’t bloomed yet.
Nevertheless, they look gorgeous and beautiful. I always love to see sakura flowers blooming in spring. 🙂
And!!! This season, Pepsi launches spring special flavor soda drink! Pepsi SAKURA!!! 😀 The color is pink just like the flower and it taste sweet and nice. I love it! :9 Definitely gonna buy it again after this walk! 😀
And taking picture of this Pepsi SAKURA with the sakura blooming, somehow looks like a good snapshot. 🙂
So we continue our walk and suddenly we found this place which caught both of our eyes… Why? It has [Ryoma] written on it. We reflex stop and check it out. What is this place?
Apparently it’s the place where Sakamoto Ryoma (one of historical figure in Japan, known as the cause of Japan’s Restoration) used to gather with the navy (if I’m not mistaken the kanji here) back then. And it seems the place now was somewhat used like a small ‘museum’ there. 😀 We want to see it but maybe not now, since we’re still a bit hazy due to lack of sleep. Hehehe.. :p
So… We were confused.. Why is this place has something to do with Ryoma..? And when we walked a bit, we found out why…
This street’s name is Ryoma Street. Well, that explains something in a way 😀 Hehehe… Although it’s funny how we just realized there is this street after living in Kyoto around 3 years. :p
And so, that small trip ended our random walk today. 😀 Surely gonna do this kind of random walk like this again :p Ehehehe…
Hope everyone have a nice day 😉 Jya~ne! 😀
Sincerely, Bena nDR
